Where did FACEIT Fiat 500 Actually Go - Full Story

Where did FACEIT Fiat 500 Actually Go - Full Story

It's 2026, and randomly the thought came into my head, perhaps yours too when you recently browsed the current FACEIT Points Shop and wondered, wait, I remember, like 10 years back, I saw a car being listed here that was available for purchase for a ridiculous amount of points. What actually happened to it? Did someone eventually buy it? Or was it a "troll" listing with an unreachable amount? Well, we got curious and found all the answers for you.

The backstory

The Fiat 500 FACEIT Limited Edition first appeared in the FACEIT Points Shop in January 2015, costing a small sum of 5,000,000 FACEIT Points, the conversion of FACEIT Points to real cash value is vague, but compared to other items that are on the store, 5 Million FACEIT Points could be worth up to €5000 or $5883, which sounds like a steal for a brand new car. Unfortunately, there was no way to buy FACEIT Points; you could only earn them by playing on FACEIT. In most cases, even on the most popular game at the time, CS:GO, such an amount of points was simply way out of reach. BUT after around 4 years of the Fiat 500 FACEIT edition release, it was time for the car to get its new owner.

Someone finally bought the car?! No...

The car is no longer in the store, so someone must have bought it, right? Well, no. The 5 million points turned out to be way out of touch to achieve, as expected. I remember playing on FACEIT back in the day and having some very time requiring missions to do, such as getting 30 wins in 30 days playing CS:GO, and with all of that the most points I could have got from it was around 20k per month, even if I would compete in the best FACEIT tournaments with point rewards, I don't think I could have exceeded 50k points per month. 50k points per month would mean you would need 100 months or 8 years and 4 months of grinding to claim the car, playing FACEIT consistently and at a high competitive level, or probably around 250 months or 20 years and 10 months, where every month you aim to win 30 games of Counter-Strike.

PUBG saved the day

One day, everything changed. In 2018, PUBG was emerging as a hot game with a strong competitive scene, FACEIT took advantage of it and added PUBG to their platform, alongside launching an event to encourage players to play PUBG through FACEIT. And guess what, the top prize in this event was the one and only Fiat 500 FACEIT edition. The event launched in September 28th of 2018, and it stated that the first player who reaches 338 chicken dinners, aka battle royale wins, will win the infamous Fiat 500.

Well, that surely sounds more doable than millions of Faceit points, right? Exactly, even though it is unclear if the event had a time limit, the winner appeared 5 months after the event started. A Turkish player, called ABeautifulDeath, won the Fiat 500 by playing 1,162 PUBG games, averaging 4th place, and, most importantly, reaching 338 chicken dinners to secure the top prize. According to this Reddit thread, the Turkish player had to average around 4 hours per day for 5 months to achieve 338 wins in PUBG to secure the car. Would you work part-time for 5 months to get a brand new (hmm, well, not sure if it's too brand new if it sat in FACEIT Shop for around 4 years) Fiat 500? I probably would. Imagine the bragging that you can do, and you would definitely be the coolest gamer, at least locally.

So, nobody actually bought the car

Yes. The FACEIT shop listing of a brand new Fiat 500 was too out of reach, and ultimately the car got put up as a prize for the event, and even that took 5 months for someone to win, but hey, at least someone actually claimed the car one way or another. From start to end, we can't deny that the story of this car has left a dent as a pretty good marketing stunt, FACEIT staff knew for damn sure that nobody is going to buy that car with those points, it was that "ultimate dream" of a prize, but still, it was very cool of FACEIT to still proceed and put it up for an event for someone who had to really grind for it, and fair play to ABeautifulDeath, you're the coolest gamer in my heart.

So what now @FACEIT? We need another car in the store, I reckon, with all of my skills, I can truly get the required points now. FACEIT Cybertruck, FACEIT Tractor... I'm coming for you!
